How the Right CRM Can Increase Revenue for Contractors!

Is Your CRM Helping You Grow Revenue?

There is no doubt in my mind that the right CRM, strategically set up to streamline your marketing and sales process, will produce immediate and incremental results. It will bring more qualified prospects into your sales funnel and help you close more of the deals you want, resulting in new customers and increased revenue.

It still amazes me that some of the largest companies in the paving, concrete, and pavement maintenance industry continue to use archaic spreadsheets or attempt to manage prospects and profitable accounts through their accounting software. Yes, you know who you are…

Your apprehensions about implementing a CRM are understandable for several reasons:

• First, which CRM should you select? Finding the right one can be a daunting task, and switching CRMs after making the wrong choice can be both expensive and painful.

• Getting buy-in from your team may seem scary, but it really isn’t. Once employees see how a CRM can make their jobs easier and help them become more successful, adoption becomes much easier.

• A quick story: I was having dinner in Minneapolis with Alan Rose and the President of Cub Foods, a subsidiary of SuperValu, Inc. I asked him, “How do you get the organization to use your CRM?” He gave a simple one-word answer: “Paycheck.” He was a fair and excellent leader, but using the CRM was non-negotiable.

• If you are implementing a CRM to micromanage your team, expect resistance and less-than-optimal results. However, if you feel the need to manage your team that way, you may need to evaluate the players on your roster.

• A CRM should support your processes, not dictate them. It should serve as a reminder of which opportunities need attention, follow-up, and action.

• The right CRM also becomes a central repository for documents, photos, videos, notes, and customer communications. Think about how much time you’ll save when everything is organized and easy to find.

There are dozens of CRM options available today. I help my clients select the CRM that best fits their company, their team members, their processes, and their budget.

So, what are you waiting for?

If you’d like to have a brief conversation about the possibilities of implementing a CRM and discuss which options may be right for your organization, send me an email or give me a call. I’d be happy to help.

Respectfully,
